get what you want

Every human wants to know “How To Get What You Want” As unique as everyone is on earth, we all have a vital need. There is something that you want so badly, that you are likely to give anything for it.

What is the difference between a truth and a lie? How do you get what you want if it’s not in your reality? The first step to getting what you want is to know how to distinguish between a fact and an opinion. You can’t change opinions, but facts are subject to change.

I wish it was easy to give you all you need right now, in a quick second, with my invisible magical ward, well that would make me a liar. Though as a coach, after so many experiences with my clients, I have discovered that so many want something that they are not willing to pay the price to get.

Until your desire, becomes burning and indispensable in your heart, you are not yet ready to receive it. Readiness comes with pain, discipline, and self-leadership. As is commonly said, where there is no pain, there is no gain.

You can get what you want, when you desire a truth and not a lie

Is what you want a lie that you hope for or a truth that you have faith in. Faith and hope are interconnected, but they put your mind in a different time frame.

You hope for things that will happen in the future and this will inspire you to have faith. And when you hold on to faith for a continuous amount of time, you will reframe your brain and mind to believe that you are capable and should have what you want.

If you want something bad enough, you will be consistent in finding answers. You’re consistent because you will never be comfortable, or be yourself without finding it. It becomes an ignition that fuels the fire within you.

Therefore you must start with the truth of what you really want. But how do you do this?

start with why

Start with WHY you want it.

I once coached a client that desired to go for a postgraduate degree at the age of 50years. And during one of our sessions when I asked her to clarify her why, her response was “ to prove to her spouse that she is smart”

Well, let me tell you right now, if your why for whatever you want and desire is not for impacting others, personal development, and innovation, you will be surprised as to how empty you will feel after all your hard work.

So as Simon Sinek says, start with why, because your why will motivate you to keep going, when the going gets tough. And sure enough, it will get tough.

If your desire is for you to prove something about yourself so that someone else will value you, then you must know that nothing you do can change other people’s behavior towards you. Instead, you must choose yourself, and how you will feel when you finally get what you want.

If your mindset is I have to win so that someone else loses, then you are limiting yourself and opening up yourself to negative emotions and side effects.

What do you want

Finally what you will Need To do, after you get what you want?

After getting your desire, you will have to maintain your desire to keep it. You have to learn to keep what you’ve got because no one else can do this for you.

Remember it’s not about who you are defeating or what you want to prove. But it is about who you are becoming. We are lucky to be living in a world with so much knowledge on how the brain works and how you can train yourself to form and stick to new habits.

Below are 2 keys that you can use to get started on maintaining your desire.

  1. Celebrate daily wins, and learn to be happy with what you’re doing.
  2. Focus on the accomplishment, celebrate what you are creating

You want to get what you want but you don’t know-how. You’ve tried everything, and nothing has worked for you! Imagine getting what you really want in life without having to try so hard. It’s not as difficult as it seems if your why is strong enough.

You may be thinking of what you want, and how to get it. Many people think that just because they have a good idea or they have good morals, life will always give them what they want.

If your why is big enough, then the how will be revealed to you when the time comes. But if your why is weak or selfish, then no matter what method or technique that may have worked for others will not work for you because it was never meant for a person like yourself who does not care about helping others grow and is willing to develop into something better than they were before.

On this website, I have resources that can teach you about self-leadership, discipline, pain, and desire so that when you have something specific in mind that your heart desires, you will have help and a strategic guide for your road to success!
